This animation is a collaborative project by the students and faculty of Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University (KCAD) and the Jim Crow Museum as part of The EPIC Project.
This project is in collaboration with the Jim Crow Museum of Racist Memorabilia at Ferris State University. Part of 5 motion-comic style animations of black people, from history, that overcame obstacles to achieve success. The animations will reside in the Jim Crow Museum's Virtual Tour, in the section called 'Achieving Despite Resistance'. They will feature the stories of Rube Foster, Shirley Chisholm, Garrett Morgan, the Harlem Hellfighters, and Leontyne Price.
The life of Garrett Morgan’s defines achievement despite resistance.
His inventions revolve around his business expertise and community lead.
Those many inventions helped save the lives of people during his time and still save lives of those who use them today.
The Animation was designed and created in Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Audition, & Premier.
